SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Xavier men's golf team travels to South Bend today for the Fighting Irish Gridron Golf Classic. The three-day event will take place at The Warren Golf Course, which will be playing 6,713 yards and par 70.

The fifteen-team field features the host team Notre Dame, Ball State, Butler, Eastern Michigan, Georgetown, Illinois State, IUPUI, Nevada, San Diego, Santa Clara, Seattle, Utah State, UTEP, William & Mary, and Xavier.

Head coach Brian McCants is sending three seniors and two underclassmen to compete. David Long will be in the number one position, followed by Matt Wetterich, Fox Morrissey, Hunter Roberts and Daniel Jaramillo.

First round begins Sunday morning. The tournament format is stroke play.
