Marquia Turner scored a career-high 14 points on 6-for-7 shooting
CHICAGO - Marquia Turner matched her career-high in scoring with 14 points on 6-for-7 shooting on Friday night as the Musketeers' three-game win streak ended at No. 23/24 DePaul. The Blue Demons remained in first place of the BIG EAST standings with the 82-52 win.

Xavier moved to 17-7 (8-5 BIG EAST) on the year, while the Blue Demons improved to 20-7 (12-2 BIG EAST).

Imani Partlow was the only other Xavier player in double figures as the freshman forward scored a career-high 11 points. She was 4-for-8 from the floor and 3-for-6 from the foul line.

Partlow added a team-high five rebounds, while Kayla Davis added four. DePaul won the battle on the glass, 41-35, with Megan Podkowa pulling down a game-high nine rebounds for the Blue Demons.

Xavier matched its season-high in turnovers with 21 as the Blue Demons converted the miscues into 21 points. DePaul also outscored Xavier in the paint, 50-40.

Xavier opened the game on a 7-0 run, fueled by four points from Turner. The Blue Demons responded by scoring 13 unanswered points to take a lead they would never relinquish.

DePaul led by as many as 22 points, 40-18, with 1:49 left in the first half before taking a 40-21 lead into the locker room. Xavier hit 45 percent of its shot attempts in the first half, but committed 15 turnovers that the Blue Demons turned into 13 points.

Briana Glover led Xavier with seven points at the half, all coming in the second quarter. She was also one of three Musketeers with three rebounds as DePaul held a 21-18 advantage on the glass.

DePaul maintained its double-figure lead for the remainder of the contest as the Blue Demons handed the Musketeers their second largest defeat of the season.
