Andre Jernigan homered twice, providing all three of XU's runs
BETHESDA, Md. – Senior shortstop Andre Jernigan left the yard twice, including a game-tying shot in the ninth, but Georgetown walked off in a 4-3 win on Sunday to clinch a BIG EAST weekend series against Xavier.
The Musketeers drop to 13-24 (1-2 BIG EAST) overall with the loss, while the Hoyas improved to 17-20 (3-3 BIG EAST).

· Andre Jernigan (2-for-4, 2 R, 3 RBI) produced all three of Xavier's runs, launching homers in the second and ninth innings. It was his second multi-homer game of the season, moving him into the team lead with 10 on the season.
· Jernigan also leads Xavier with eight multi-RBI games in 2016.
· Rylan Bannon (1-for-3, BB), Will LaRue (1-for-4), Ethan Schmidt (1-for-4), Chris Givin (1-for-4) and Matt Fallon (1-for-4) also supplied hits for XU.
· Nate Soria had his fifth straight multi-hit day, going 2-for-4 with a run scored. The sophomore is now batting 11-for-18 (.611) in his last five games.
· Rylan Bannon has now reached base in 15 of his last 16 games.

· Freshman Matt Kent started his second career game, lasting a career-high six innings and allowing just two earned runs while striking out three.
· Sophomore Garrett Schilling (0-3) pitched the final 2.2 innings, striking out two and allowing just one run – on a walk-off double to Ryan Weisenberg with two outs in the ninth. The game-winning score snapped Schilling's streak of 16.2 innings without allowing an earned run.

· Xavier is back in action on Tuesday, traveling across the Ohio River to face Northern Kentucky at 3 p.m. in Highland Heights, Ky.
