Xavier Men's Golf Returns to Action in the Fighting Irish Classic

Freshman Garrett Wood looks to build off first career top-20 result last time out
SOUTH BEND, IND. - Xavier men's golf will travel to South Bend to compete in the Fighting Irish Classic from Oct. 8-9 at Warren Golf Course. The two-day, 54-hole event begins Sunday morning with two rounds and concludes on Monday with the final round.
The par 71 course will stretch out to 7,020 yards.
Georgetown, Utah State, William & Mary, Xavier, and host Notre Dame are the returning teams from last year's Classic. They will be competing alongside Dayton, DePaul, Drake, Fort Wayne, Georgia Southern, Oakland, Toledo, and Western Illinois.
This is the third tournament for the Musketeers on their fall schedule and they look to continue their strong team play. Last year at the Classic the team finished inside the top 15 and Fox Morrissey carded a 6-over par tied for 29th to lead the team.
