Musketeers set two new school records on first night

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. - After an opening night of relays, the Xavier women's swim team stands in second place. The men are currently in fourth after a pair of relays, as well a diving competition in which they did not participate.

HIGHLIGHTS

The Xavier women opened the event by setting the second fastest time in program history in the 800 free relay, with Katie Kerr, Taylor Jach, Emily Saugstad and Paxtyn Drew finishing in 7:30.39 to take third.
In the second event on the women's side, Drew, Becca Titterton, Caroline Gaertner and Emily Conners broke the school record in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:41.27 to finish second.
The Xavier women finished the opening session in second place with 66 points.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

The Musketeer men opened the meet with a fourth place finish in the 800 free relay, with Alex Wolfred, Sam Johanns, Enrique Hernandez and Brandon Abboud finishing in 6:41.60.
Johanns, Matthew Dyer, Knox Hitt and Tony Miller took the top spot and set a new school record in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:28.89.
Xavier stands in fourth place with 70 points after the two relays and the men's three-meter diving event in which the Musketeers did not participate.
