Men’s Golf Opens Spring Season at Pinehurst Intercollegiate

PINEHURST, N.C. – The Xavier men's golf team travels to North Carolina today for the Pinehurst Intercollegiate to defend their team title from a year ago. The three-day event will be played at the centennial course, Pinehurst No. 8, which will be playing 7,099 yards and par 72.

The fourteen-team field consists of Ball State, Belmont, Boston College, Dayton, Eastern Kentucky, Elon, Marshall, Morehead State, Northern Kentucky, Old Dominion, Radford, Siena, Wisconsin-Lutheran, and Xavier.

Head coach Brian McCants will be sending two seniors and three underclassmen to compete at the event. Matt Wetterich will be in the number one position, followed by Daniel Jaramillo, Hunter Roberts, Eduardo Rivera Nicholls, and Fox Morrissey.

First round begins Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. ET. The tournament format is stroke play.
