UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Xavier men's golf team finished the Rutherford Intercollegiate this afternoon, the last stop before the BIG EAST Championship late April.
Matt Wetterich fired a season low 70 (-1) in the first round. The senior had 36 pars and played the par 5's under par for the tournament, averaging 4.78 strokes per hole. Wetterich's three round score of 220 (+7), tied a season best set in South Bend in the fall.
Hunter Roberts and Daniel Jaramillo had the best rounds of the day for Xavier, shooting 76's (+5).
