"We got everything out of this meet that we needed to. It served as a solid tune-up for BIG EAST and let us test out a few athletes that were on the bubble for the BIG EAST travel roster. The best race of the day came from Grant Parrelli in the 1500. Although his time wasn't where he would like to be, he ran a great race. It's his first college win at any distance and he closed in a 59 for the last 400, showing that he's ready to repeat what he accomplished indoors by making the 1500 final at BIG EAST. Both Nolan Daniels and Tori Chiller had good days in the 800. Both have consistently run around their personal best marks in the past few opportunities they've had. I think in a weeks time, under championship conditions they'll have the breakthrough they've been waiting for."

Xavier returns to action at the BIG EAST Championships on May 12-13. The two-day meet will be held at Villanova Stadium.
