Men's Golf Concludes First Fall Tournament at Wolf Run Intercollegiate

Senior Daniel Jaramillo paced the Musketeers, finishing in a tie for 36th overall
ZIONSVILLE, Ind. – The Xavier men's golf team completed play at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate on Sunday, finishing 16th overall as Daniel Jaramillo led the team with 36th place finish.
Jaramillo, who was tied for 52nd after his first round, cemented his finish with a 76 on day three of play. Jaramillo excelled on par five's all weekend, tying for second best in the field with a score of 5-under on the long holes.
Graduate student Fox Morrissey carded his best round of the weekend, finishing the day with a 77 to finish in a tie for 70th overall.
Freshman Martin Jaramillo also put together his best round of the tournament, shooting a 5-over 77 to improve his score for the third straight day.
Kentucky claimed the team championship at the event, shooting 20-over for the weekend and winning by six strokes over Miami (OH). Central Florida finishing in third (+31), while Arkansas State (+34) and North Carolina State (+39) rounded out the top five.

Xavier stays local for its next tournament, playing in the Bearcat Invitational at Coldstream Country Club from Sunday, Sept. 24-26.
