Xavier University Freshman Jared Ridder Decides To Move Back Home

Ridder withdrew from the University today.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier University forward Jared Ridder, a 6-7 freshman from Kickapoo High School in Springfield, Mo., today announced his intention to withdraw from Xavier and move back home.

"After much consideration and talking with my family, I have decided that it is in my best interest to move home," said Ridder.

"Jared has indicated to the coaching staff that he has a desire to be closer to home," said Xavier head coach Chris Mack. "While we are disappointed, we all want Jared to be happy moving forward. We wish him nothing but the best."

Ridder, Kickapoo's all-time leading scorer, averaged 24.2 ppg. as a senior last season.
