Chris Mack Becomes Xavier Men's Basketball All-Time Wins Leader

With an 88-82 victory over St. John's at Cintas Center, Mack secured victory No. 203 and cemented his place atop the record book.
Under Mack, Xavier has averaged 23-plus wins per season and reached the NCAA Tournament in seven of his first eight years at the helm. In addition, Mack has led the program to four NCAA Tournament Sweet 16's and an Elite Eight appearance in 2017. Mack's 10 NCAA Tournament wins are also the most in Xavier history.

1990 – Chris Mack transfers from Evansville to Xavier, where he plays two years and serves as team captain.
1992 – Graduates from Xavier University with a degree in communication arts
1999 – Hired as Xavier's Director of Basketball Operations under Skip Prosser
2004 – Hired as assistant coach under Sean Miller
April 15, 2009 – Named head coach of Xavier men's basketball
March 1, 2010 – Xavier appears in the AP Top 25 Poll for the first time under Mack
March 21, 2010 – Xavier defeats Pittsburgh to advance to the Sweet 16 in Mack's first season
2011 – Named Atlantic 10 Conference Coach of the Year
March 18, 2012 – Xavier defeats Lehigh to advance to Mack's second Sweet 16
December 28, 2013 – Mack earns 100th win with a 68-53 victory over Wake Forest
March 21, 2015 – Xavier defeats Georgia State to advance to Mack's third Sweet 16
2016 – Named the Henry Iba Award winner as the U.S. Basketball Writers Association National Coach of the Year, Xavier's first-ever national coach of the year award
March 23, 2017 – Xavier upsets Arizona to advance to Mack's first Elite 8 and the third in school history
January 17, 2018 – Chris Mack becomes Xavier's all-time winningest coach with win No. 203, an 88-82 victory over St. John's at Cintas Center.
