CINCINNATI – Xavier Athletics announced today that men's basketball season ticket sales have eclipsed the previous high of 8,120 sold for the 2001-02 season. Last season, over 8,000 season tickets were sold for only the third time in Cintas Center's history.
Xavier averaged 10,475 fans per home game for the 2017-18 season and 103 percent of seating capacity, good for third-highest percentage in the Nation.
"There is no more loyal and passionate fan base in the country than Xavier Nation," said Xavier Associate Athletic Director for External Relations Brian Hicks. "Head coach Travis Steele and his team have been working hard getting ready for the season. It's clear from our sales so far that there is a lot of excitement surrounding this year's team. We know the team on the court is in great hands with Coach Steele. We try to listen to fan feedback and try to create the best fan experience possible around each game at Cintas Center."
A limited number of season tickets remain available including four Courtside and one set of Living Room seats, and can be purchased via the Xavier Ticket Office. Season tickets begin at $300 or only $16 per game. For recent Xavier University undergraduates from the past three years, season tickets start at only $150.
Single-game ticket presale started this week and the Villanova game is now officially sold out. While single-game tickets are sold out, fans can still purchase full-season and 6-game mini-packs which may include the Feb. 24 game against the defending national champion Wildcats.
Group tickets and hospitality are also available for select games, and can be obtained by calling the Xavier Ticket Office at (513) 745-3411 X7.
Head coach Travis Steele and the defending BIG EAST Conference Regular Season Champions open the 2018-19 season with an exhibition game against Kentucky Wesleyan College on Thursday, Nov. 1 at Cintas Center. Opening night for the regular season is Tuesday, Nov. 6 vs. IUPUI at Cintas Center.
