New Xavier Brew Name Announced

The new custom Xavier brew has been dubbed “D’Artagnan’s Draught”
CINCINNATI - Xavier Athletics, in partnership with Samuel Adams and Heidelberg Distributing/Ohio Valley Beer & Wine Co., is excited to announce the winning name of the custom Xavier brew naming contest. Over 500 naming suggestions were submitted by Xavier fans in September.
The new custom Xavier brew has been dubbed "D'Artagnan's Draught." The winning name was submitted by three Xavier fans – Dwayne R., Barbara K. and Tim B. The winners will all receive a Samuel Adams prize pack and four tickets to Xavier's Opening Night Game on November 6.
Fans can get their first taste of D'Artagnan's Draught this Friday, October 19 at Musketeer Madness. A Sam Adams representative will be on site for the first Xavier tapping of the beer at D'Artagnan's Deck craft beer garden inside Cintas Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
D'Artagnan's Draught a 5.4% ABV, medium-bodied ale, packed with earthy English hops and a subtle malt sweetness that produces a smooth and rounded finish. The limited release brew will be available this season at Cintas Center and other local Xavier fan favorite restaurants.
Samuel Adams has owned and operated a brewery in Cincinnati since 1992.
A portion of the sales of the custom beer will benefit Xavier's All For One Fund and specifically Xavier's efforts in education and leadership development for students.
