VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Mikayla Fitzpatrick tied a career-best 18 hole score, finishing tied for eighth overall as Xavier women's golf closed out the Princess Anne Invitational on Sunday. The Musketeers carded a 299 (+19) in Sunday's final round and finished seventh overall as a team with an 876 (+76) for the tournament.

Xavier finished second in total pars for the weekend with 173.

Fitzpatrick completed her sixth round at par or better on the season after Sunday's 1-under performance, tying her total from last season only three tournaments into the season. She finished the tournament in a tie for eighth place overall after posting a 212 (+2) for the weekend. Fitzpatrick was among the leaders in multiple categories including par 5 scoring at 4.83 (-2) and total pars with 40.

Lyndsey Hunnell finished the invitational in a tie for 19th overall after she posted a 76 (+6) for the final round and a 218 (+8) for the invitational. She posted her first round with Xavier at par or better on day two of the meet. Hunnell finished tied for third in par 3 scoring at 3.00 (E), tied for ninth in par 5 scoring at 4.92 (-1), and added 35 pars through the weekend.

Morgan Tinsley posted a third-straight round of 75 on Sunday, as she finished out the tournament in a tie for 44th with a 54-hole total of 225 (+15). Tinsley carded 34 pars through the weekend.

Andie Shukow finished the weekend in a tie for 48th while Mikayla Smith finished in a tie for 52nd. Shukow carded an 80 (+10) on Sunday and 226 (+16) for the tournament, she added 34 pars as well. Mikayla Smith ended the weekend with a 79 (+9) and a total of 227 (+17).

The Musketeers carded an 876 (+36) and finished seventh overall.

UCF won the tournament with a score of 857 (+17).
