Women's Soccer Picks Up Win in Double Overtime at DePaul

Win over the Blue Demons is first in Xavier program history
After playing the first half to a scoreless draw, Xavier struck early in the second half with a goal from Allison Klimkowski, and extended its lead to 2-0 with a goal from Grace Bahr. DePaul responded with a pair to force overtime.
Xavier moved to 8-6-1 overall, matching last season's win total with four regular season games remaining. The Musketeers also move to 2-2-1 in BIG EAST play, standing in a four-way tie for fourth place with Providence, DePaul and St. John's.

48' | XAVIER | Off a shot from a corner kick, the ball was deflected to the top of the box, Xavier knocked it back towards the net and Allison Klimkowski found the ball behind the DePaul defense and shot low to the left corner for the 1-0 lead.
64' | XAVIER | After a play off a free kick just outside the box came back to her, Grace Bahr shot from outside the penalty box, straight on for the 2-0 lead.
71' | DEPAUL | DePaul's Jackie Batliner crossed the ball into the box from the right side, finding Madeline Frick at the far post. Frick tapped it in to cut into Xavier's lead, 2-1.
76' | DEPAUL | DePaul's equalizer came less than five minutes later when DePaul's Jessica Lazo served the ball from the left side to Franny Cerny who used a header to left corner to tie the score at 2-2.
104' | XAVIER | A DePaul handball in the box led to a penalty kick for the Musketeers, taken by Samantha Dewey. Dewey shot low and to the left while the keeper went right to win the game, 3-2.
