Men's Basketball Announced as Part of Eight-Team Field for 2019 Charleston Classic

Tournament to be held Nov. 21, 22 and 24, 2019 at TD Arena in Charleston, S.C
CHARLESTON, S.C - Xavier men's basketball was announced as part of the eight-team field for the 2019 Charleston Classic to be held Nov. 21, 22 and 24, 2019 at TD Arena in Charleston, S.C. The field will include UConn, Florida, Miami (Fla.), Missouri State, Penn State, Saint Joseph's and Towson in addition to Xavier.
Four of the eight teams in the field made the postseason in 2018. Xavier (No. 1 seed), Miami, Fla. (No. 6 seed) and Florida (No. 6 seed) all made the NCAA Tournament. Penn State played in the National Invitational Tournament.
Temple won the 2017 Charleston Classic. Previous winners include Villanova (2016), Virginia (2015) and Miami (Fla.) in 2014.
This family-friendly tournament offers the teams a week of practice, play and experiences in and around historic Charleston.
