Lauren Wasylson Named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week

The freshman guard averaged 9.0 points per game last week
NEW YORK - Lauren Wasylson was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week for her on-court performance last week. The Musketeers went 1-1 with a win over Fairfield and a loss to No. 25 Minnesota.
The guard averaged 9.0 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. She was 6-for-15 from the floor with four 3-pointers.
Wasylson scored seven points against the Golden Gophers on Wednesday and a season-high 11 points against Fairfield with three 3-pointers. She becomes the first player to earn the honors since Deja Ross picked up the accolades on Dec. 23, 2017.
Wasylson and the Musketeers return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at Wake Forest. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. from Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
