Volleyball Announces Three Person Signing Class

CINCINNATI - Xavier head volleyball coach Christy Pfeffenberger has as announced the addition of three players for the 2019 roster. The Musketeers have added Carrigan O'Reilly, MaryAnn O'Toole and Alyssa Overbeck.

ALYSSA OVERBECK
"Alyssa is a bulldog in the back row and I absolutely love watching her play the game. She sees the court really well and is relentless in her play. She will add value to our program by her mentality and love of competition."

CARRIGAN O'REILLY

Helped her high school team post an 84-21 overall record... helped her team win three conference titles and two district championships... led her team to a OHSAA Regional Runner-Up finish in 2018... earned All-Ohio Second Team honors as a senior... also earned all-district and all-conference first team honors in 2018... finished her career with 2,286 assists and a .338 hitting percentage... also earned all-conference first team honors three times (2016-18)... earned All-Ohio Third Team honors as a junior... also earned all-district first team honors in 2017... earned all-district second team honors as a sophomore... earn all-conference honorable mention team honors as a freshman... played for the Mintonette Sports Volleyball Club AAU Team... mother, Beth, played volleyball at Mount Union.... brother, Garrett, plays baseball at Bluffton University.

MARYANN O'TOOLE

Led Assumption HS to a KHSAA State Title in 2018, finishing her senior season with a 43-0 record... named to the seventh region all-tournament team... also helped her team capture the 2017 KHSAA State Title, finishing the year with a 40-3 overall record... played in a total of 88 sets during her high school career... posted 168 kills, a .266 hitting percentage, 19 blocks and 55 digs.

ALYSSA OVERBECK

Helped her high school team post an 80-23 overall record with a 22-4 record in both 2017 and 2018... led her team to three district titles and three regional semifinal appearances... was a three time all-conference and all-district selection... was named to the OHSVCA Division I All-Ohio Team... was an Under Armour All-American nominee... finished her high school career with 1,436 digs... played for the Tri-State Elite AAU Team.
