Xavier returns home and scores 28 points off 14 forced turnovers in convincing win over RedHawks
CINCINNATI – Xavier men's basketball defeated Miami (Ohio), 82-55, on Wednesday night in the first game of a three-game home stand at Cintas Center. Three Musketeers scored in double figures, led by sophomore Naji Marshall with 17 points. Junior Tyrique Jones added his second double-double of the season, scoring 13 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in the victory.

FIRST HALF |
- Xavier began the half shooting 75 percent from behind the three-point line, with two makes by Naji Marshall and one by Paul Scruggs.
- A block by Scruggs with 9:40 to play in the half turned into a fast-break opportunity for the Musketeers. Kyle Castlin finished the effort with a three-point play, giving Xavier a six-point lead.
- A transition three-point field goal with 8:10 left in the half by Ryan Welage gave the Musketeers a 27-17 lead.
- Xavier scored 14 points off of seven RedHawk turnovers in the half.
- The Musketeers had three blocks in the half, all of which came from the efforts of Scruggs.
