MEN
600 - Connor Meehan had a big improvement over how he's raced this indoor season. He looked like himself again, raced aggressive and was impressive over the 2nd half of the race.
800 -Â A.J. Dietrich ran a personal best. A.J. waited a little too long before he kicked but overall it was a good race for him. Hopefully he can build some confidence from this race and start to believe that he can go earlier. Nolan Daniels looked great today in his 800. He was able to drop two seconds from last week and he raced poised throughout. He showed a lot of experience as well, wining his heat and making it look effortless.
200Â - Polk is starting to come around and ran his second fastest indoor 200 in the last four years.
Â
WOMEN
300 - Sheridan Davenport improved upon her personal best by over 1.5 seconds. She's having a good season despite some hamstring issues and should be ready for a breakthrough at BIG EAST.
400 -Â Vanessa Johnson ran a PR today in the 400 despite being sick and almost throwing up about 10 minutes before the race. I wasn't even sure if she was going to be able to race but the trainers cleared her and she raced with something to prove.
5,000Â - Jennie Prial dropped 12 seconds off her PR and went under 18:00 in the 5,000 for the first time. Jennie had to run most of this race by herself but she handled the pressure really well. She stuck to our race plan and grinded out the laps without having anyone to push her. I think when she gets in a competitive field and is pushed she's capable of dropping another 10-14 seconds.
3,000 - Britton, Clayworth and Sinning ran well. All three girls ran personal best times and made up our best places in the meet overall. They went 4th, 8th and 12th against a stacked field from Canada and the U.S. Britton had to do most of the work for the group but Clayworth and Sinning both showed a lot of guts holding on to Britton for their best 3k's of the year.
