Men's Golf Lowers Score Again in Final Round of Pinehurst Intercollegiate

PINEHURST N.C. – Xavier men's golf concluded the Pinehurst Intercollegiate Sunday afternoon, finishing in 11th place as a team. The Musketeers shot their best round of golf on Sunday, coming into the clubhouse with a 300 team score. Garrett Wood jumped one spot on the leader's board, shooting his best round of the tournament.

Wood finished in 14th place, finishing the tournament with a 75, 74, 74 (223, +10) scorecard. The freshman recorded 15 pars on the final day and tied for first in the field with a -3 cumulative score on par 5's.

Eduardo Rivera dropped four places from round two, finishing tied for 34th. Rivera earned a birdie on hole No. 14, which led him to tying his score from round two, earning a third day score of 76. The junior finished the three-day tournament with a 77, 76, 76 (229, +16).

Martin Jaramillo improved nine spots on the final day, tying for 45th. Jaramillo shot a weekend best 76 this afternoon, including a birdie on hole No. 14. The freshman finished with a 79, 78, 76 (233, +20) scorecard.

Hunter Roberts also had an impressive third day, jumping 11 spots on the leaderboard. Roberts carded three birdies on hole No. 1, 12 and 14. He finished the competition tied for 56th with a 84, 77, 74 (235, +22) card.

Daniel Jaramillo ended the tournament tied for 68th, six spots higher than his second-round finish. Jaramillo grabbed two birdies on the day. The senior also finished with his best round, finishing the tournament with a 84, 81, 78 (243, +30) score.

Xavier finished in 11th place on final day of Pinehurst Intercollegiate. The Musketeers finish with a 315, 305, 300 (920, +16) team score card. Radford jumped one spot from round two to finish in first.
