Men's Golf Travels Across Town to Bearcat Invitational

CINCINNATI - Xavier men's golf looks ahead to the UC Bearcat Invitational at Coldstream Country Club this Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 24-25). The men will be competing against a strong field, which includes crosstown rival, Cincinnati, providing a great test for the team.

The Musketeers are led by Sophomore Garrett Wood, who finished out their first tournament in a tie for 32nd after bettering his score each round. He is averaging 74.33 strokes through three rounds on the season.

Xavier looks to continue their trend of improvement after their first tournament in Madison. They lowered their score by nine strokes from the first to third rounds through the tournament.

FORMAT

The men will play 54 holes over two days at the event, beginning with 36 continuous holes on the first day and finishing with 18 on day two.

Both days are slated to begin at 8:45 a.m. with a shotgun start.

PARTICIPATING TEAMS

11 total teams are heading into this weekend's tournament, including Akron, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Kentucky, McNeese, Miami (OH), Middle Tennessee, Ohio State, Penn State, Western Kentucky, and Xavier.
