Musketeers Support Devin's Team at 2018 Buddy Walk

CINCINNATI – Xavier student-athletes, teams, staff and friends of Xavier Athletics joined "Devin's Team" for the 17th annual Buddy Walk benefiting the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati on Saturday at Sawyer Point along the Ohio River.

Representatives from several of Xavier's athletic teams were on hand to help support Devin's Team, which is named for men's soccer head coach Andy Fleming's daughter, Devin, who was born with Down syndrome in 2011.

"This always is a special day for me and my family," said Fleming. "Xavier is a special place full of special coaches, special student-athletes and special people. This has grown to be such a large event for our Xavier community and I just want to thank everyone who came out today to support Devin and the the DSAGC."

The DSAGC celebrated the 17th edition of the Buddy Walk, which provides about 50 percent of the needed resources for the organization to fulfill its mission.

Devin's Team was again amongst the top earners in the area, raising over $14,000 for the event.
