Men's and Women's Swimming Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams

Colorado Springs, Co. – Xavier men's and women's swimming were among the 713 teams from 460 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the Fall 2018 semester.
Xavier's women posted a team GPA of 3.54 for the Fall, making them one of 176 Division I schools to earn the accolade with a mark that ranks in the Top 40 of all NCAA DI schools. This marks the 18th semester in a row that the women have earned the accolade, dating back to 2010.
Xavier's men posted a team GPA of 3.28 for the Fall to be one of the 88 Division I men's teams honored. Xavier's mark ranked 31st among all men's DI teams. This is the second-straight semester the men have earned the honor, and the 17 time in the last 18 semesters.
To earn the honor, teams were required to post a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the Fall semester and maintain a roster of 12 or more student-athletes. Xavier was one of 88 Division I schools to have both teams honored.
The Musketeers will host its Senior Celebration meet on Friday, Feb. 1 at O'Connor Sports Center, before traveling to Miami (Ohio) on Saturday for the final meet before the BIG EAST Championships.
