Xavier stumbles in Indianapolis, ends season with 11 wins

INDIANAPOLIS, In. - In the 2019 regular-season finale, Xavier lost a tightly-contested three set match at the hands of Butler, 20-25, 12-25, 22-25. Moriah Hopkins and Norah Painter had eight kills each to lead the Musketeers. In her final collegiate match, Senior Libero Madi Kutruff tallied 19 digs to finish her career with a total of 551.

Highlights

• Offensively, Moriah Hopkins and Norah Painter carried the load with eight kills each, and Jayda Carlton had the best hitting percentage at .400 after the MB went 4 for 10 on attacks without an error.

• Senior Madi Kutruff tallied 19 of Xavier's 39 digs to conclude her college career.

• Carlton had the most blocks again with five (one solo) to finish 2019 with 127 blocks, the most blocks per set in the BIG EAST this season.
