Xavier Swimming Closes Fall Schedule At Nationals

CINCINNATI – Xavier swimming closes the fall season, sending eight Musketeers to the US Open in Atlanta, Georgia. Alex Sironen, Brandon Abboud, Landon Clark, Jon Bernard, Christian Thomas, Nick Mahoney and Cameron Weese are set to represent on the men side, while Ali Fort qualified on the women's side.

The event begins Wednesday evening and continues through Saturday night at Georgia Tech McAuley Aquatic Center.

WOMEN

Ali Fort represents the women's side, competing in the 100 Backstroke. The event's heats take place at 10 a.m. on Friday morning, with the finals at 7 p.m.

MEN

On the men's side, Alex Sironen, Brandon Abboud, Landon Clark, Jon Bernard, Christian Thomas, Nick Mahoney and Cameron Weese posted qualifying times for the Musketeers.
Jon Bernard leads Xavier, competing in four events starting Friday evening with the 100 back and the 100 breast. Alex Sironen, Landon Clark and Christian Thomas will also be competing the 100 back.
On Saturday, Nick Mahoney and Alex Sironen join Jon Bernard competing in the 200 back.
Cameron Weese and Jon Bernard will race in the 200 breast, taking place on Saturday.

In each event, the women compete first, followed by the men's heats.
Preliminary heats begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday through Saturday. Wednesday's finals begin at 6:00 p.m. The final heats for Thursday through Saturday begin at 7:00 p.m.
