
Conor Grammes Earns Third Nomination to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll this Season

NEW YORK - After strong performances at the plate and on the mound last week, junior Conor Grammes was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference office announced on Monday.
Grammes batted .315 with an on-base percentage of .519 in a 2-3 week last week, including scoring four runs and going 4-of-12 at the plate. Grammes also collected seven walks in the 2-1 series at St. John's, including four walks in Sunday, and scored four times for the Musketeers, who moved to 5-1 in BIG EAST play.
Additionally, Grammes pitched 5.2 innings of one-run ball on Sunday for the series-clincher. He allowed just two hits with four strikeouts in his second win of the season.
Xavier plays Ohio State on Tuesday in midweek action then returns home to host Butler for the Musketeers' third BIG EAST series, beginning Thursday, April 18 at Hayden Field.
