Luke Franzoni Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK - After hitting .600 in a three-game week for the Musketeers, freshman Luke Franzoni earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference office announced on Monday.
Franzoni hit .600 for the week, going 6-of-10 at the plate with three walks for an on-base percentage of .692. The freshman scored four runs and collected two RBIs and finished the three-game stretch with a slugging percentage of 1.000.
Franzoni went 3-of-3 at the plate, with a walk, in Xavier's 6-5 win over Butler on Friday, including a home run in Xavier's walk-off win. Franzoni followed that with a 3-of-5 day at the plate in Xavier's 13-8 win over Butler to secure the series win on Saturday.
