Men's Golf Heads to Nashville for Ryman Hospitality Classic

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Xavier men's golf is back in action this upcoming Monday and Tuesday (April 8-9) at the Ryman Hospitality Classic.

The Musketeers team lineup will consist of: Garrett Wood, Martin Jaramillo, Nick Frey, Michael Prebles, and Hunter Roberts. Imaad Qureshi will be the sixth Xavier golfer and will compete as an individual.

Garrett Wood comes off of his best tournament of the season, where he carded a 1-under at 215 for the weekend while finishing tied for 21st. Wood ranks 15th in the BIG EAST with a scoring average of 74.33 and a versus-par of 2.67.

Martin Jaramillo looks to continue the strong play he displayed at the end of the FAU Spring Classic, where he carded a 73 (+1) in the final round. Jaramillo ranks 30th in the BIG EAST.

This will be Imaad Qureshi's first tournament since the Pinehurst Intercollegiate at the beginning of March.

FORMAT

This is a 54-hole tournament with 36 holes being played on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday. All teams will have a practice round as well.

There are 15 teams participating in the tournament: Austin Peay, Belmont, Bowling Green State, Bradley, Florida Gulf Coast, Lipscomb, Loyola Chicago, North Alabama, North Dakota State, Omaha, Samford, Southern Miss, Stetson, USC Upstate and Xavier.
