Day One at BIG EAST Swimming Championships Complete

EAST MEADOWS, NY – Xavier swimming finished day one at the BIG EAST Championship competing in the 800 free relay and the 200 medley relay on both the men's and women's side.

After day one, the women ended in second place of both relays behind Villanova. The women finished the day in fourth place, with a team score of 68. The scores after today included points from the 1 meter diving portion, which Xavier did not compete in.

On the men's side, the Musketeers took third in both competitions and ended the day in fourth place with a team score of 64. In the 800 medley, Xavier touched the wall third, as Villanova took the top finish. In the 200 medley, Xavier finished in third, less than a second behind Seton Hall who took second.
