Tyrique Jones Selected To The 2019-20 BIG EAST Conference Second Team

CINCINNATI --- Xavier University senior Tyrique Jones has been selected to the 2019-20 BIG EAST Conference Second Team by the league coaches.
Jones, Xavier's second-leading scorer at 13.7 ppg. (14th in the BIG EAST), leads the BIG EAST and is ninth in the nation in rebounding at 11.2 rpg. Jones leads the BIG EAST and is third in the nation in offensive rebounding at 4.4 rpg. He is bidding to become the first Xavier player to average a double-double for a season since David West in 2002-03.
Jones leads the BIG EAST and is third in the nation in double-doubles with 21, which is the third-highest single-season total in XU history and just three shy of the school record of 24 by Tyrone Hill in 1989-90. Jones is making an impact in other areas of the Xavier record book as well. He is ninth on XU's all-time rebounding list with 867 career rebounds and 32nd on the all-time scoring list with 1,189 points.
