
Women's Soccer Wins Fifth-Straight on Dana Dahm Goal at DePaul

Dahm's goal her first as a Musketeer; Xavier moves to 13-1-1 overall and 6-1 in BIG EAST play
CHICAGO -Â Â Xavier women's soccer extended its shutout streak to five matches, picking up a 1-0 win at DePaul on Thursday afternoon. The Musketeers moved to 13-1-1 overall and 6-1 in BIG EAST play, remaining on top of the BIG EAST standings with three matches remaining in the regular season.
Both teams being held scoreless until the final minute of the first half when Dana Dahm used a header to send a Carrie Lewis corner kick into the back of the net to give Xavier the 1-0 lead at the break. Xavier held a 9-6 advantage on shots in the first half, but the Blue Demons had a 4-3 lead on shots on-goal in the first 45 minutes.
The Musketeers battled for an insurance goal in the second half, out-shooting DePaul 7-5 overall. Xavier's defense also kept the Blue Demons without a shot on-frame in the second half to preserve the shutout, picking up the fifth-straight clean sheet for goalkeeper Olivia Jenkins and the Musketeers.
Xavier returns home to host Marquette on Sunday, October 17 at 1:00 p.m. at Corcoran Field. The Musketeers will celebrate Senior Day prior to the match with the Golden Eagles.
