No. 14 Women's Soccer Falls to Milwaukee in NCAA Tournament

Musketeers finish season at 16-3-1 overall, collected BIG EAST regular season championship, program-best rankings and school record for regular season wins
CINCINNATI - No. 14 Xavier women's soccer's record season came to a close on Saturday afternoon, falling 1-0 to Milwaukee in the NCAA DI Women's Soccer Championship at Corcoran Field.
The Musketeers finish the season at 16-3-1 overall, winning the program's second BIG EAST Regular Season Championship, earning program best rankings in the United Soccer Coaches Poll (No. 11) and the RPI (No. 7) and earned the program's first at-large bid and home match in the NCAA Tournament.
Milwaukee (19-1) scored in the 16th minute. Xavier battled for the equalizer, holding a 10-3 advantage on shots overall including a 5-2 advantage on shots on goal. Xavier limited the Panthers to just one look on frame following the goal but were unable to draw even, setting the final score at 1-0 in favor of the Milwaukee.
The Panthers advance to the second round where they will face No. 1 seed Virginia next week.
