Carrigan O'Reilly Named to All-BIG EAST Team

Junior setter has career-highs in 13 categories
CINCINNATI, OH - Carrigan O'Reilly was named to the All-BIG EAST Team for the second-consecutive season following her incredible Fall campaign. The Junior setter has won five BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll selections this season, and she is top-five in the conference in every assist category.
O'Reilly started in 29 matches this season, playing in 111 sets. She accumulated 988 assists (8.90 per set) and 156 kills (1.41 per set); all career-highs. Defensively she set career-highs in digs (251) and blocks (56, seven solo). In total, she contributed 198.5 points for Xavier this season.
The setter recorded 11 double-doubles this season, including a triple-double against Providence on September 24 in which she had 42 assists, 12 kills and 11 digs. She had a season-best 54 assists on October 8 against Seton Hall, the same night she had a season-high 23 digs. While not known for her blocking, she recorded at least one in 24 of 29 matches, with the best performance coming against Miami (OH) in which she got six.
O'Reilly's trophy case now includes two All-BIG East Team selections, an AVCA All-Region Selection, a BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week award, nine Weekly Honor Roll Selections, and she is an All-BIG EAST Academic Team Honoree.
