Baseball Falls in Game One of Saturday Doublehead at Wofford

Musketeers, Terriers play game two Saturday afternoon
SPARTANBURG, S.C. -Â Xavier baseball fell in game one of a four-game series at Wofford on Saturday afternoon. The Terriers took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and added two more in the fourth. Xavier scored a pair of runs, one in the fifth and one in the seventh and final frame, to set the final score at 4-2.
Lane Flamm went the full 6.0 innings in the start of the seven inning game. The Terriers and Musketeers will play game on Saturday afternoon.

5TH INNING | Jeff Holtz doubled with one out, then advanced to third on a ground ball. Jared Cushing singled with two outs to bring Holtz home, cutting the Wofford lead to 4-1.
7TH INNING | Jeff Holtz and Alex Helmin both singled to lead off the inning and Andrew Walker was hit by a pitch to load the bases with one out. Jack Krumbach put the ball into play, reaching on a fielders choice to bring Holtz home to cut the Terrier lead to 4-2.
