NEW YORK - A'riana Gray was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Tuesday morning. She earns weekly honors for the first time this season.
The senior forward averaged 18.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game last week. She posted a .489 field-goal percentage (22-for-45) and went 7-for-10 from the foul line.
Gray scored a season-high 23 points to go along with eight rebounds in the loss at Butler (Feb. 22). She also scored 20 points on 8-for-15 shooting in the loss to Seton Hall on Feb. 24.
The Cleveland, Ohio, native posted her 28th career double-double in Sunday's Senior Day win over Georgetown, scoring 18 points and pulling down a game-high 12 rebounds. She added seven assists vs the Hoyas, matching her career high in the category.
Gray and the Musketeers return to action on Friday, March 5 in the opening round of the BIG EAST Tournament. The No. 9 seed Musketeers take on No. 8 seed St. John's at 11 a.m. ET at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
