Women's Basketball Adds Ole Miss Transfer Taylor Smith

The guard played in 82 games for the Rebels, averaging 4.0 points per game
CINCINNATI - Xavier women's basketball head coach Melanie Moore announced the addition of Ole Miss transfer Taylor Smith to the 2021-22 roster on Thursday.
"We are really excited to be adding Taylor to our Xavier Women's Basketball Family," said Moore. "She is a talented, scoring guard who takes pride in playing hard on both ends of the court. Taylor has competed in the SEC for the past three years, with that being said her high level experience will not only bring a winning mentality to Cintas Center, but add to the competitive culture that is being built within our program."
Taylor played in 82 games from 2018-21, making 35 starts and averaging 19.0 minutes per game. The guard averaged 4.0 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. She added 58 assists and 52 steals.
In 2019-20, she posted a career-high 6.3 points per game and knocked down 18 three-pointers.
She scored a career-high 21 points at Missouri on Feb. 23, 2020 and grabbed a career-high eight rebounds vs Kentucky on Feb. 20, 2020.
