CINCINNATI - Xavier women's golf travels to the NCAA Louisville Regional on May 10-12. The three-day tournament is being held at the University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, Ky.

The Musketeers will be participating in the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history.

BIG EAST CHAMPIONS

• Xavier won its second straight BIG EAST Championship on April 25. The three-day tournament was held at the Club at Gateway.

• The Musketeers posted a 54-hole total of 891 (+27) to win the team title, finishing 13 strokes ahead of Seton Hall (904, +40). Xavier recorded its best round of golf on the final day of the tournament, hitting seven-over-par (295).

• Senior Morgan Tinsley won the individual title with a score of 221 (+5), the first tournament title of her career. Xavier claimed the individual title for the second straight conference championship as Mikayla Fitzpatrick won the 2019 title.

ALL-BIG EAST HONOREES

• Emma McMyler captured BIG EAST Freshman and Player of the Year honors on May 6, while teammates Mikayla Fitzpatrick and Andie Shukow earned All-BIG EAST honors. Breanna Jenco and her staff (David Patz) also picked up 'Coaching Staff of the Year' honors.

• Emma McMyler is the first golfer to earn both awards in the same season since Notre Dame's Lindsey Weaver in 2013. The San Antonio, Texas, native leads the BIG EAST in lowest average score (73.88) this season, while ranking 215th overall in the NCAA. She was the team's top performer in all five tournaments prior to the BIG EAST Championships, which included three top-10 individual finishes.

• Mikayla Fitzpatrick, the 2019 BIG EAST Golfer of the Year and 2017 BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, earned all-conference honors for the fourth time in her career. The Phoenix, Ariz., native ranks third in the conference in lowest average score (75.71) this season.

• Andie Shukow earned all-conference honors for the first time in her career. The Boca Raton, Fla., native ranks fifth in the conference in lowest average score (75.83) this season.

• Coach Jenco earned coach of the year honors for the third time in her career after leading the Musketeers to the 2021 BIG EAST Title. She also earned the honors in 2016 and 2019.

NCAA TOURNAMENT HISTORY

• Xavier is participating in its second straight NCAA Regional. The Musketeers placed tied for 14th at the NCAA East Lansing Regional on May 8, 2019 - posting a score of 911 (+47).

• Mikayla Fitzpatrick finished tied for sixth (out of 84 golfers), posting a three-day score of 216 (E). She advanced to the NCAA Championships as an individual qualifier, becoming the first player in program history to compete at the NCAA Championships.

• A total of 18 teams and six individual qualifiers will participate in four regionals with the top six teams advancing to the NCAA Championships on May 21-26 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. A total of 12 individuals will be selected to participate in the championships as well.
