Xavier Drops Charlotte Invitational Finale to Colorado in Four Sets

Carrigan O'Reilly had 43 assists and 10 digs in the loss
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Xavier dropped its Charlotte Invitational finale vs Colorado on Saturday afternoon, falling in four sets (23-25, 25-23, 18-25, 22-25).
Xavier moved to 1-2 on the year, while Colorado improved to 1-0.

• Norah Painter led two Musketeers with double-figure kills with 14. She added nine digs, two blocks and two assists. The outside hitter ranked second on the team in kills (3.10 k/s) and digs (3.10 k/s) at the Charlotte Invitational over the weekend.
• Moriah Hopkins added 11 kills and a .320 hitting percentage. She led the team in kills (3.09 k/s) over three matches at the Charlotte Invitational, while adding five blocks and a .382 hitting percentage.
• Stevie Wolf posted a match-high 21 digs. The libero averaged 5.82 digs per set over the three-day tournament, earning a spot on the Charlotte Invitational All-Tournament Team. She added three aces and 14 assists.
• Carrigan O'Reilly posted a match-high 43 assists to go along with 11 digs and six kills. The setter finished the tournament averaging 10.91 assists per set to go along with 18 kills, 24 digs and five blocks.
• Ellie Chaffee and Delaney Hogan combined for 12 kills and six blocks. MaryAnn O'Toole chipped in five kills and digs, while Alyssa Overbeck recorded nine digs.
• Colorado posted six more total team blocks (12-6) than Xavier. The Buffaloes had a .265 hitting percentage, while limiting the Musketeers to a .200 clip. Colorado also had four more aces (7-3) than Xavier.

• Xavier returns to action at the Loyola (IL) Tournament on Sept. 3-4. The Musketeers open tournament action on Friday, Sept. 3 vs SIUE at 11 a.m. ET.
