Blue Jays top Musketeers 3-0

CINCINNATI, OH - Following the huge victory on Friday night, Xavier dropped their match with No. 16 Creighton by a score of 3-0. After falling behind 11-25 in Set One, Xavier played Creighton close in a very tight Set Two, but ultimately came up just short, 22-25. Set Three finished 16-25.

Xavier is now 6-6 on the season and 1-1 in the BIG EAST. Creighton moves to 14-1 and 2-0 respectively.

NOTABLES

• Seven different Musketeers had at least one kill, with Kelly Franxman topping the list at seven. She had Xavier's lone ace of the evening to go along with five digs and a block.

• Senior Moriah Hopkins played a large part in tonight's effort, registering six kills, a block and a dig.

• Delaney Hogan had five kills and only one error for a steady .267 hit percentage. Defensively, she had two blocks and a dig.

• Carrigan O'Reilly followed her triple-double last night with a little more of everything: 23 assists, seven digs, three kills and two blocks.

• Libero Alyssa Overbeck led the team with 17 digs, and Stevie Wolf was close behind with 14.
