Xavier returns to action at the BIG EAST Championships on Oct. 29

PEORIA, Ill. - Xavier wrapped up action at Bradley Pink Classic on Friday night. The Xavier women placed 13th, while the men finished 21st.

The meet was held at the Newman Golf Course. The women competed in the 6K Red Race (38 total teams; 306 runners) and the men participated in the 8K Red Race (35 teams; 289 runners). The Xavier men also had four runners in the 8K White Race (18 teams; 185 runners).

The Xavier men had two runners post top-five school performances: Adrian Stuphan (3rd; 24:41.40) and Trevor Nolan (4th; 24:45.40).

Loyola (Chicago) won the men's 8K Red Race, beating out runner-up Wichita State by two points. Individually, Loyola's Ryan Martins won the 8K Red Race race with a time of 23:27.80.

Northwestern won the women's 6K Red Race, finishing 16 points ahead of Illinois. Carmen Riano from Miami (Ohio) won the women's 6K Red Race in a time of 19:54.20.
