Musketeers fall in three sets to Bluejays
OMAHA, Neb. - Xavier volleyball fell to No. 15 Creighton 3-0 (17-25, 20-25, 16-25) in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament.
The Musketeers falls to 19-11 (11-7 BIG EAST) while Creighton continues to the BIG EAST Tournament final round at 26-4 (17-1 BIG EAST).
• Delaney Hogan led the squad in kills with eight. The junior middle blocker hit .500 in the match with two block assists.
• Brooklyn Cink managed seven kills with five digs and two block assists against the Bluejays.
• Carrigan O'Reilly added an additional 25 assists to bring her career total to 3,279. The senior setter also posted four digs and four kills.
• Lucia Corsaro and Stevie Wolf shared the team-high in digs with eight apiece while Alyssa Overbeck followed closely behind with seven.
• Maryann O'Toole tallied six kills and hit for .294. The senior outside hitter also put up the only block solo of the match for both squads and two block assists.
• Sophomore setter Logan Flaugh tossed the only service ace for the Musketeers on the board in the first set.
• Xavier volleyball will tune into the NCAA and NIVC Selection Shows on Sunday, Nov. 27.
