Two Musketeers Earn Honors After Their Play At Phil Knight Legacy

Boum is on the All-Tourney Team and Jones is on the BIG EAST Honor Roll.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier University graduate student Souley Boum earned a spot on the Phil Knight Legacy All-Tournament Team after leading XU in scoring at 18.3 ppg. for the three games vs. Florida, No. 8 Duke and No. 6 Gonzaga. Boum is second on the team and 10th in the BIG EAST in both scoring at 15.9 ppg. and assists at 3.7 apg. Boum scored 22 vs. Florida on Nov. 24 and 23 vs. Duke on Nov. 25.
Junior Colby Jones was named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll after averaging 18.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game for XU's three games at the Phil Knight Legacy. He leads XU in assists at 5.8 apg. (fifth in BIG EAST) to go with 15.7 ppg. (11th in BIG EAST). Jones scored a career-high 22 points vs. Florida on Nov. 24, while hitting a career-high four 3-pointers and connecting on 8-12 from the field overall. He matched his career high with 22 points vs. Gonzaga on Nov. 27.
