BIG EAST Women's Basketball Tournament Bracket Set

Xavier will take on No. 7 seed St. John's on Friday, March 4 at 1:30 p.m.
NEW YORK - The bracket for the 2022 BIG EAST Women's Basketball Tournament presented by JEEP was finalized on Tuesday afternoon as Seton Hall won at Xavier 74-53 to officially close out the regular season. The Musketeers lock up the No. 10 seed while Georgetown gets the No. 9 seed to join the other nine seeded teams who solidified their tournament spots last week. The BIG EAST Tournament is set for March 4-7 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
On-site coverage of the BIG EAST Tournament will begin at 10:30 a.m. ET on Friday, March 4, with the Fastbreak Pregame Special hosted by John Fanta, Meghan Caffrey and Harry Perretta, streaming on the BIG EAST Digital Network presented by SoFi available on FloSports.
No. 8 seed Providence will face No. 9 seed Georgetown to tip off the Tournament on Friday, at 11 a.m., in the first of three games that day. First Round action continues at 1:30 p.m., when No. 7 seed St. John's faces No. 10 seed Xavier. Day 1 wraps up with a 4 p.m. tilt between sixth-seeded Seton Hall and 11th-seeded Butler. All three First Round games will stream live on BEDN.
Quarterfinal action tips off at noon on Saturday when the winner of the 8-9 game faces regular-season champion and top-seeded Connecticut in a game airing on FS1. A rivalry game is next in the 2:30 p.m. Quarterfinal when No. 4 seed DePaul faces No. 5 seed Marquette on FS2. FS2 will cover the evening session on Saturday as well, beginning with a 7 p.m. matchup between No. 2 seed Villanova and the winner of the 7-10 game. The nightcap tips at 9:30 p.m. when No. 3 seed Creighton faces the winner of the 6-11 matchup.
FS1 takes over coverage for the final three games, beginning with the Semifinals on Sunday. Saturday's afternoon session winners meet at 3 p.m. before the evening session winners square off at 5:30 p.m. Sunday's Semifinal winners move on to Monday's title game, set for 8 p.m. on FS1. The winner of the BIG EAST Tournament receives the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
