Xavier Officially Welcomes Desmond Claude

Claude is a consensus four-star standout.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier University head coach Sean Miller has received a signed National Letter of Intent from Desmond Claude, a 6-5, 190-pound guard from Putnam Science Academy in New Haven, Conn. Claude, who earned a four-star 247Sports composite ranking, was a consensus four-star recruit and ranked by the major services one of the top two prospects in Connecticut.

Claude, who was named the MVP of the 2022 National Prep Tournament, led his PSA team to a perfect 38-0 record and a National Prep Championship, the third for the school in four years.
Claude averaged 13.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.6 steals for undefeated Putnam Science Academy, while shooting 57.7 percent from the field, including 43.3 percent from 3-point range.

In addition to his prep school success, Claude averaged 15.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists in NIKE EYBL play this past year.
