WOLCOTT, Colo. - Xavier women's golf placed tied for fifth at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic on Wednesday evening. The three-day tournament was held at Red Sky Golf Club in Wolcott, Colo.
The Musketeers posted their best round of golf on Wednesday with a score of 287 (-1). Xavier finished the tournament with a score of 878 (+14), tying with Washington State and New Mexico State.
Abby Kiefer hit two-under-par 70 on Wednesday for her best round of golf at the tournament. The senior led Xavier with a 12th place finish (216, E).
Pepperdine won the tournament with a score of 846 (-18), finishing 15 strokes ahead of Kennesaw State (861, -3). Colorado finished third (870, +6), while East Tennessee State placed fourth (873, +9).
Pepperdine's Lion Higo won the medalist honors with a score of 206 (-10). Her teammate Lauren Gomez placed second with a score of 209 (-7).
