Xavier swept Purdue Fort Wayne 3-0 in the final match of the Xavier Tournament

CINCINNATI - In the Xavier Tournament finale, Xavier swept Purdue Fort Wayne in a three set victory. This was the first match of the season for the Musketeers that was completed in three sets. Xavier moves to 5-1 record while Purdue Fort Wayne falls to 3-3. The Musketeers finish second to tournament champion Virginia.

• Angel Robinson added two block assists and a block solo to bring her weekend total to three block solos and five block assists. The graduate middle blocker also contributed six kills in the final match.

• Carrigan O'Reilly added an additional 15 assists to her career total, bringing the number to 2,363.

• Senior defensive specialist Alyssa Overbeck posted two service aces for the Musketeers.

• Senior outsider hitter Maryann O'Toole added 11 kills to the team total of 45.

• Sophomore setter Logan Flaugh recorded the second highest number of assists from both squads with 22.

• Junior libero Stevie Wolf posted 13 digs in the outing.

• Hunter Fry tallied up nine kills for the squad. The junior middle blocker also added a block solo and a service ace to her career stats.

UP NEXT

• Xavier will travel to Louisville, KY to compete in the Louisville Tournament with Lipscomb, Purdue, and Louisville on September 9 & 10.
