CINCINNATI - Xavier track and field travels to the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational hosted by Louisville on Jan. 27-28. The two-day meet is being held at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center.

Admission to the event will be free of charge and parking at the facility will be provided for $5.

LAST TIME OUT

• Xavier track and field won six events and posted 22 top-five finishes at the MSJ Invite on Jan. 21. The meet was held at Centennial Field House.

• On the women's side, Haley Morgan (60-meter dash), Sophie Francis (400-meter dash), Elena Dimitri (3,000-meter run) and the 4x400 team (Bishop, Francis, Rivera, MacKinnon) all posted first-place finishes.

• On the men's side, Ethan Ragland (60-meter dash) and Sean Beam (200-meter dash) recorded first-place finishes.

COACH BURROUGHS

• Sam Burroughs was named the new head coach for cross country/track and field on Jan. 4, 2021. He joined the Musketeers after previously working as associate head coach at Cincinnati from 2013-20.

• Burroughs has over 20 years of collegiate experience. He has coached 96 individual conference champions and 46 individual NCAA qualifiers, while leading 18 teams to conference championship titles.
