The second-place finish is the highest Musketeer team finish since the 2016 BIG EAST Championships

CINCINNATI - Men's golf placed second at the Xavier Invitational presented by Gateway Logistics on Tuesday afternoon. The two-day tournament was held at Maketewah Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The runner-up team finish is the highest team finish for the Musketeers since the 2016 BIG EAST Championships.

Freshman AJ Adams took home medalist honors, becoming the first Xavier player to win a tournament since April 28, 2019 (Garrett Wood at the 2019 BIG EAST Championships). Xavier has now posted a top-three finisher in three consecutive tournaments.

Western Kentucky took home the team title, recording a 54-hole score of 840 (E). Xavier finished with a score of 856 (+16) followed by Oakland with a score of 869 (+29).

Western Kentucky's Connery Meyer and West Virginia's Olivier Menard placed tied for second with scores of 207 (-3). Adams won the tournament by one stroke, posting a score of 206 (-4).
