ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. - Xavier men's golf won the Peoples Golf Championship hosted by Western Carolina on Saturday. The three-day tournament was played at Sea Island Resort.

The Musketeers posted a 54-hole score of 838 (-14) in a field of 21 teams, finishing two strokes ahead of Western Carolina (840, -12). Samford placed third with a score of 842 (-10).

Xavier has now posted 10, top-three finishes over the last two seasons with six tournament titles. The Musketeers have finished first or second in their last five tournaments this season.

Freshman Cayse Morgan took home medalist honors with a score of 202 (-11) in a field of 123 golfers, one stroke ahead of Samford's Gavin Isbell (203, -10). Morgan now has three tournament titles this season and four top-10 finishes.

Carson Bellish placed tied for seventh, the 13th top-10 finish of his career.
